4th November 2021
I mean, it’s true what they say. Last 8 days have been a perfect example of this.
I’ve spent last week, working really hard to get back into my 2020 exercise and food discipline. In the process there were tantrums, set-backs, odd biscuits – but it worked. By the end of the week, I made a 1kg dent in my weight.
This week – I had dinner out 2 nights in a row with friends. Come Wednesday morning – the effing 1kg was back……………………….. It sneaked in somewhere in between the lunch in the canteen of our new office, the red-thai-pineapple-curry and a vegan burrito.
I’m hoping it’s a temporary set-back, as today I’m back being a good girl. It’s difficult keeping tabs on food when you’re out for a meal. It’s also difficult not seeing friends as often as they’ve either moved so far away you don’t get to see the often now, or are still living under reduced social interactions rules because of their underlying health conditions and in fear of that F*******G virus.
So, dinners out had to be had. Lunch at work – well, that could have been better organised – but we’re in a shiny new office. And the canteen food is so much better than in our old office, so have to try it out.
Point of the story – took a week to lose the weight, took 36 hours to put it back on!!!!
Why can’t it be that easy in reverse, eh?
Annoyed now. Going. (there’s an Ateez song blasting right now, that I simply have to party to)
