Quick Health Update – 10.10.2020

I have stuck with the Shred / HIIT sessions for coming on 7 months now.  Unfortunately my work colleagues dropped out one-by-one.  Sharon injured her shoulder.  Sheila has too much work on, although she still does to try and squeeze a session in with me every now and then.

Today, whilst I was pushing myself to do 100 skips, it suddenly dawn on me that my costochondritis hasn’t been playing up for the last few weeks.   It’s a bugger of a condition – especially when you suffer from the chronic version.  Mine’s been with me since late teens – undiagnosed until recently; it comes back sporadically, although if I were to analyse my sleeping habits, exercise ventures, and stress bouts, plus the refusal to wear a wireless bra, no doubt there is a pattern in there somewhere.

All that said though, I had a little think the other day and I realised that since starting to exercise regularly some of those ailments which can be alleviated by regular exercise and weight loss, haven’t been plaguing me recently. Costochondritis being one of them. I’m sure if I had a health check up, the doctors would tell me that there have been other improvements too – more than likely my cholesterol level has gone down, my BMI, the amount of fat around my internal organs.

All in all positive impacts.  There are some things I will never be able to fix, no matter how much exercise I do, nevertheless the increased core strength and muscle strength will be helping even with those more permanent damages to my body.

There, that’s it for today.  A boring little update / thought for the day, regarding my exercise regime. Bye.
